RV generator?

i have an rv with a generator that is in a small compartment, the door is too small to service everything on the generator. it is not on a slide out rack it has to have supports that hold the rack it is sitting on unbolted to drop the generator through the bottom. does anyone have on like this? what is the best way to drop them to service them?
